Burapha University Aquarium Bang Saen

Buarpha University Aquarium

Bang Saen is one of the closest beaches to Bangkok and only a 40 minute (40km drive from Pattaya) If you wanted to escape the hectic city of Pattaya for the day then Bang Saen makes a very pleasant day out. One of the little surprises in this seaside town is the Burapha University Aquarium at the Institute of Marine Science. If you are in Bang Saen then this mid-sized aquarium attraction is well worth checking out.  At the entrance to the aquarium, you will see one of the main attractions which is the real skeleton of a whale that was washed up on Bang Saen Beach. as you enter the building you will be led through different rooms featuring display tanks of various sizes with plenty of colourful marine life on display. The final display is the giant display tank containing over 1000 tones of seawater this giant tank has a special viewing area where the tank curves over the heads of the views giving that underwater perspective.

It will probably not take any longer than half an hour to walk through this attraction. Although not as large as the Siam Ocean World in Bangkok and it doesn’t have the walkthrough tunnels of Underwater World Pattaya. This attraction will be popular with the kiddies and is quite busy on the weekends and school holidays. Burapha University Aquarium is well worth a visit if you happen to be spending some time in Bang Saen.
